Our Story
Founded in 2009 by cousins Craig VanDecar and Jerry Saliba, C & J began as a small remodeling company in Northern New York and grew into an award-winning custom home builder. From the beginning, their focus was not simply on completing projects, but on executing them with integrity, precision, and lasting quality.
After relocating to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Jerry saw an opportunity to bring that same standard of quality and care to a market often driven by high-volume spec home construction. He saw firsthand how small but important details were often overlooked, leaving homeowners with an experience that felt rushed and limited in personalization.
C & J Custom Builders of Texas was established to offer something different. Through thoughtful improvements, elevated craftsmanship, and a process that feels organized, and professionally managed from start to finish we strive to take your home to the next level.
